A Message From The President
I am truly excited to be serving as president of our Chamber of Commerce. These are exciting times for our community and there is much work for us to do. A special thanks to Tim Albright, our outgoing president, for moving the Chamber to a position of leadership in our community. Thanks to Tim’s hard work our organization is looked to for assistance and guidance by our local municipal leaders in these times of unprecedented economic growth.
Welcome to new board members Pam Hassett, Laurel Mann and Dan Quigley and thank you for the hard work and time put into serving on our board by departing board members Karen Diffley, Kate Konopka, and Angelo Scaturro.
I would also like to acknowledge and thank the Board’s executive assistant Renee Mathes. Renee does the work of many for too many hours and small pay. I guess that would make her the perfect employee.
I look forward to working with your Board of Directors on increasing our influence on economic development and issues in our municipalities that affect the business community, to find more ways to assist our members with the problems facing small businesses today, and to continue to bring our members together for networking opportunities, recognition and education.
Remember that this is your Chamber and we serve you. Please do not hesitate to contact me with ideas on how the Chamber might better serve you or with problems you would like to have the Chamber help you with.
Finally, to be the best Chamber we can be we need your continued support. Please support Chamber functions and bring in new members.
Doug Calkins, President
